These reproductions are inspired by dolls found in European and American households in the early 1800's. Head, hands and feet are constructed of a durable composition clay. the primitive body is made of muslin. The entire doll has been treated to a very stained and antiqued finish. Hands and feet are attached with ecru ribbon, the upper arms are stuffed and attached to the dress separately. All clay parts on the doll are hand sculpted using no molds.
This 18" doll is dressed in an antiqued muslin fabric with a red satin ribbon tied about her bust. Her hair features sculpted curls surrounding her face. She wears a removable artificial pine wreath with red berries and five candles are embedded. Her hands are sculpted to fit around the metal tray holding a glass floral tea/coffee set and a plates of realistic clay buns. All items are antiqued and affixed to the tray to prevent spillage.
After the holiday ends, the doll can be transformed into an everyday display by changing out the ribbon on her dress with the included pink ribbon, removing the head wreath, and replacing the tray with an trio of roses(also included).
