These reproductions are inspired by dolls found in European and American households in the early 1800's. Head, hands and feet are constructed of a durable composition clay. the primitive body is made of muslin. The entire doll has been given an antiqued finish. Hands and feet are attached with ecru ribbon, the upper arms are stuffed and attached to the dress separately. All clay parts on the doll are hand sculpted using no molds. Not a toy.

This 18" "Jane" doll is dressed in an antiqued blue and ecru plaid printed gown with a muted blue ribbon tied about her bust. Her neckline features crochet lace and a muslin fichu gathered into her bust. A handpainted floral brooch embellished her neckline. Her sculpted hair is painted brown with a top curl cluster and features sculpted curls surrounding her face. A ruffled caplet with blue ribbon crowns her head. Her eyes are painted blue and detailed. On her right hand she wears her signature golden and turquoise ring.
All pieces are antiqued: This set includes a wooden writing board, a faux leather portfolio, 4 sheets of antiqued papers, 2 feather quills, and a beautiful footed glass, clay, and metal writing set. The parts of the writing set are fixed in place and features a handmade ink well, matching pounce jar, and a quill stand.
