These reproductions are inspired by dolls found in European and American households in the early 1800's. Head, hands and feet are constructed of a durable composition clay. the primitive body is made of muslin. The entire doll has been treated to a stained and antiqued finish. Hands are attached with ribbon and feet are attached with ecru ribbon. The upper arms are stuffed and attached to the dress separately. All clay parts on the doll are hand sculpted.
 
  This 18" tall doll wears a gown of yellow floral fabric with a moss green satin ribbon tied about her bust, and crochet lace trim at the neckline.  Her painted brown hair is sculpted into a crown of curl clusters and more sculpted curls surrounding her face. She also wears a golden sculpted pendant hanging from a painted on chain. Her eyes are painted a beautiful brown.
